Instagram Tests Scheduled DMs Feature
27/12/2024YouTube Showcases Upcoming Features for Connected TV
27/12/2024As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance in-stream shopping capabilities, TikTok has rolled out new resources for sellers, aimed at helping them navigate platform policies and optimize their product listings.
A key addition is the new Account Health Report for sellers, offering an overview of policy violations and other account-related issues. This report provides a clear summary of any issues that may affect a seller’s ability to sell on the platform.
According to TikTok:
“The weekly report conveniently aggregates and highlights policy violations and messages related to creator LIVEs and videos from the past seven days. It also showcases key violation metrics, helping creators understand which violations are most common and alerts them when they’re nearing milestone violations that may lead to enforcement actions.”
TikTok plans to expand this report with more helpful elements, including links to relevant policy education articles for better transparency.
This feature is valuable for sellers, ensuring their TikTok account remains in good standing and that shopping ads reach the broadest possible audience.
Additionally, TikTok has introduced a Creator Policy Quiz to boost sellers’ understanding of platform policies. The short, multiple-choice quiz addresses common policy violations and allows creators to improve their knowledge and avoid future infractions.
“By completing a three-question quiz focused on specific violations, creators can actively enhance their understanding of content policies, preventing repeat violations. Successful completion of the quiz removes one violation point, improving overall account health.”
This is significant as it can directly affect how products are displayed within the app.
Creators can take the quiz up to three times per month, with each successful attempt reducing one violation point. TikTok encourages creators to review the relevant content policies before taking the quiz to improve their understanding and account standing. Quizzes can be taken anytime from when a violation is issued until the last day of the following month.
This tool could help sellers avoid penalties while also providing a learning opportunity.
Lastly, TikTok is hosting live in-person events in select cities to engage with its creator community further.
