Pinterest Introduces New Gift Discovery Features for the Holiday Season

Pinterest has rolled out several new features to enhance your holiday shopping experience, including personalized product wish lists, expanded Gift Guides from popular users, and a new method to save items directly from Gift Guide displays.

To start, Pinterest has introduced a simple way to save items to your own holiday shopping wish list, allowing you to compile products that you want for yourself or to gift to someone else.

As shown in the examples, you can now easily save items to your holiday wish list, making it simpler to refer to them during your shopping process.

Pinterest has also introduced a quick save feature for its celebrity-curated Gift Guides, allowing you to save Pins directly into your own shoppable wish list.

I’m not sure how Paris Hilton keeps making her way into social platform features, but there she is. If you’re into pink and quasi-celebrity DJs, you can see what Paris considers cool this year, alongside many other influencers.

As stated by Pinterest: “With more than 1,000 unique gift guides worldwide curated by creators and celebrities like Paris Hilton, RuPaul, Emma Chamberlain and K-Pop girl group TWICE, Pinterest is the go-to platform to find a gift.”

Now, you’ll have an easier time saving items from these celebrity-curated collections, which will automatically be added to your own in-app wishlist. Lastly, Pinterest is introducing a new machine-learning-driven feature in its “Holiday Finds” tab, showcasing personalized Pin recommendations that its system believes you’ll love.

“The feature is experimental and is rolling out over the next few weeks. This special shopping experience uses your unique searches and saves to recommend relevant styles and ideas that are must-haves for the holidays.”

In other words, a personalized list of Pin products based on your past activity and interests. This could be a convenient way to discover relevant gift ideas that you can subtly suggest to family and friends for Christmas.

Pinterest is continuously expanding its product listings and refining its discovery and recommendation algorithms. As a result, it could become a great source for gift ideas this holiday season, with celebrity-curated product collections appealing to many fans.
