21/10/2024LinkedIn Unveils Updates for Event Ads and AI Campaign Features
22/10/2024Google has revealed a significant enhancement to its shopping experience, timed perfectly for the holiday season. Your shopping results will now be powered by AI, delivering more contextually relevant product recommendations.
As shown in this example, Google’s AI-powered shopping feature now allows you to search for something like “men’s winter jacket for Seattle.” Google’s system will then generate an AI “brief” that factors in all relevant considerations tailored to your specific requirements.
As explained by Google:
“The new Google Shopping experience uses AI to intelligently show the most relevant products, helping to speed up and simplify your research. You’ll now get an AI-generated brief with top things to consider for your search, plus products that meet your needs.”
Now, you can include more contextual details in your shopping searches, and Google will offer additional factors to consider, helping you find the most suitable product matches for your needs.
New filters on the left side of the screen will help streamline your search process, and the results will also feature Google’s AR Try-On experiences, offering more insights into relevant product options.
Google is also introducing a personalized product feed to your Google Shopping homepage, tailored to your past search history and preferences.
Now, when you log into Google Shopping, you’ll see products that are more tailored to your interests. Google also mentions that you’ll be able to resume your shopping right where you left off each time you log in.
Google is also introducing enhanced price comparison and tracking tools, as well as a new “Deals” page where you can discover the latest discounts on items you’re interested in.
These are some handy updates, and with people using Google Shopping more than a billion times a day, it’ll also help to drive more interest and engagement with Google’s product listings. This means you should keep your product listings updated in Google Merchant Center and make sure your information is accurate in your Google Business profile.
As the holiday shopping season approaches, these new options are expected to be put to the test significantly in the upcoming months.
