29/06/2024Reddit Shares New Tips for Holiday Marketing Campaigns
04/07/2024Pinterest has introduced an enhanced board sharing feature, allowing you to more easily share your Pinterest collections across other social apps, thereby increasing awareness of your Pin presence.
As illustrated in this sequence, Pinterest’s improved board sharing offers a more visually appealing way to promote your Pin collections across various platforms and formats.
The process is simple: select a public board you wish to share, tap the “Share” icon in the top right corner, and choose a template for displaying your board. You can then share an animated overview of your board as a Story, showcasing your selected elements.
The new “Curated on Pinterest” marker functions somewhat like a watermark, which may affect distribution in alternative formats like Reels, where videos with watermarks are typically downranked. However, the Pinterest marker disappears over time and is primarily intended for Stories and re-sharing Pins through that format.
Overall, this feature offers a promising way to share your Pin collections and interests within the app.
Pinterest is specifically aiming to attract younger users with these new features:
“Pinterest users view their boards as personal sanctuaries for dreaming up their world and showcasing their unique personalities and aesthetics. For Gen Z users, Pinterest isn’t just a platform, it serves as a space for self-discovery and expression, where they shape their identities on their terms, free from external pressures. This connection to introspection has fueled a growth in the number of boards created by Gen Z users since last year, outpacing other generations.”
Pinterest emphasizes that Gen Z users use the platform to cultivate their preferred aesthetic, and this new feature aims to allow them to share their reflections more widely.
Pinterest is strategically targeting younger users to fuel its growth, leveraging its substantial user base with more than 500 million monthly active users. This makes the new feature appealing for users to explore.
If you are engaged on Pinterest, it’s recommended to give the new board-sharing process a try.
The updated board-sharing process on Pinterest is now available to all users.
